Deck the Kitchen

Deck the kitchen with cabinet hardware,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
“Tis what gives the kitchen flair,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Though it’s been a lengthy process
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Now we can see daily progress

The to-do list grows much shorter
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tile the backsplash for the baker
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Add the trim to make it look fine
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Oh the lights do add their own shine

YES! the counter is on order

Now’s the time to stash the clutter.

Sing we joyous, all together.

This new kitchen’ll be a winner.

  1. Looks, good, Suzanne and Richard. Are you anxious for Christmas, or is it just that nothing could be better than a new kitchen, not even Christmas?

  2. The first two Christmas kitchen remodel posts were coincidental. Once it was pointed out that I seemed to have a theme going, it became a challenge to keep it going. Guess my creative juices wanted to flow somewhere besides putting cabinetry together.
But yes this new kitchen is as anticipated as Christmas and even longer in coming.

  3. It's wonderful! Will you put display items (cups and saucers??) on the rounded shelves and is that a cookbook shelf by the rounded shelves? Wow. Can't wait to see the counter tops and backsplash - are you doing it all in tile?

  4. Not sure what I'll put on the rounded shelves. The cabinet without doors will have glass doors and shelves where I will put my cup and saucers. Waiting until the countertop is in before we assemble and complete that shelf - don't want to risk broken glass. I also want to paint the interior of that cabinet a semi-gloss white (will use the paint we used on the ceiling) because I want all the light reflection I can get.
